This USACE project consisted of two jobsite locations worked concurrently with limited access. Long reach and amphibious (swamp) excavators, draglines, and dozers were used to complete 32 miles (1694 stations) of ditch excavation totaling 1,148,000 CY as well as 17 miles of levee construction, 571,000 CY of top bank shaping, and 9,000 tons of R200 rip rap installation both above and below water level. Work also included breach repair, clearing, snagging, seeding, mulching, environmental protection, specified demolition (abandoned bridge pier removal and pipe trimming), and filter fabric placement.
