Hot Springs National Park

About the Project

This FHWA project consisted of concrete pavement repairs to Hot Springs Mountain Dr. within the Hot Springs National Park. The concrete repairs involved removing/replacing 21 of the 247 original concrete slabs, along Hot Springs Mountain Dr., which were in place for over 80 years. RKE found an innovative way to make the new concrete to look similar to the original slabs, which contained large white exposed aggregate and appeared weathered. Other features of work included sealing existing concrete joints and cracks, paved waterway construction, pavement markings, and permanent signs.
