Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge Horton Slough Trail

About the Project

This Federal Highway Administration project consisted of the fabrication and placement of a 150′ steel pedestrian bridge. The project consisted of structural concrete, general site work, pedestrian walkways, and parking lot improvements. Bank stabilization was required as a result of damage that was incurred to the refuge during a 2019 flooding event. The project was completed with all walking trails, observatories, and the pedestrian bridge opened to the public in March 2022.
